Apple and Cinnamon Milkshake
Serves 4
Preperation time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 600g eating apples e.g. Coxs peeled, cored and sliced
- 60g clear honey
- qtr tsp ground cinnamon
- zest of half lemon
- 75g porridge oats
- 150g low fat natural yoghurt
- 600ml semi-skimmed milk
Directions
- Place the apples, honey, cinnamon, 3 tbsp water and lemon zest in a suacepan
- Cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Allow to cool
- Toast the oats under a preheated grill for 2 to 3 mintues until lightly browned
- Place the stewed apples, oats and yoghurt in a food processor and blend until smooth
- Gradually blend in the milk
